Chad, great to have you. Thanks, Lauren. It's a pleasure to be here. We've got some fascinating collisions between hardware and software to unpack today. Let's start in Tokyo, Lauren. Pound to Own Automotive 2026 just paid out over a million dollars. We saw root access on Tesla infotainment and even researchers installing Doom on an Alpatronic fast charger. The speed of these exploits is relentless. It really is, Aaron. What strikes me is the Alpatronic HYC50 exploit, the first public supercharger hack delivered directly through the charging gun. Chad, when you look at these chargers as networked systems, how vulnerable is the actual power grid here? It's a major blind spot. These chargers are essentially high wattage gateways. Chaining vulnerabilities to manipulate charging behavior isn't just a digital prank. It's a physical risk to the vehicle's battery and the local electrical infrastructure. We have to treat the charging gun like any other untrusted USB port. Exactly. If you can execute code via the physical connection, the perimeter has moved from the cloud to the concrete. But Lauren, the threat isn't just physical. We're seeing a brilliant, if malicious, use of legitimate SAS features to bypass our defenses. You're talking about the OpenAI Invite Your Team exploit. Attackers are embedding malicious links or vishing numbers right into the organization name field. Because the invite comes from a legitimate OpenAI address, it glides past traditional email filters. It's a total subversion of trust. Lauren, these emails look 100% authentic because technically they are. They're just carrying a payload hidden in a field that OpenAI's developers likely never thought would be used for a URL. This is where my system's perspective kicks in. This is a failure of input validation at the architectural level by allowing arbitrary text in the organization field to trigger an automated notification. They've turned a collaboration tool into a delivery system for malware. It's creative in a dark way. The urgency for businesses is high, Aaron. When an attacker can target an entire team through a trusted platform, the human firewall is under immense pressure. We need more than just MFA.
